Terreno Realty Corp acquires building in North Bergen for $14 million

Street Insider- Terreno Realty Corporation (NYSE: TRNO), an acquirer, owner and operator of industrial real estate in six major coastal U.S. markets, acquired an industrial property located in North Bergen, New Jersey on April 20, 2017 for a purchase price of approximately $14.0 million.

The property consists of one industrial distribution building containing approximately 126,000 square feet on approximately 4.4 acres adjacent to Exit 16E of the New Jersey Turnpike and approximately five miles from Manhattan. The property is at 7777 West Side Avenue, provides eight dock-high and two grade-level loading positions, parking for 70 cars and is 100% leased to one tenant. The estimated stabilized cap rate of the property is 5.3%.

North Bergen restaurant expanding to Jersey City

JerseyDigs – A popular North Hudson Cuban restaurant is expanding south to Jersey City and will be taking up residence in a soon-to-open development.

Rumba Cubana, who have locations in North Bergen and in Guttenberg along JFK Boulevard East, just signed on to lease retail space on the ground floor of SILVERMAN’s upcoming Park Francis building. The company, who are officially opening the latest property on Tuesday, recently announced Rumba Cubana’s signing on their Instagram account.

Hardee’s Could Open First North Jersey Location In North Bergen

Jersey Digs – A new Hardee’s restaurant could be built at 7101 Tonnelle Avenue, between 70th Street and 74th Street, in North Bergen. According to legal notices from the Alonso & Navarrete law firm and the Township of North Bergen, the restaurant is being proposed by Bergen Asset Holdings, LLC, of Princeton Junction, Mercer County, on property near a Target store that is listed as a “vacant commercial pad.”

Although there are locations of Hardee’s, or Carl’s Jr. as it is known on the West Coast, across the country, from California to Pennsylvania, for decades, there had been no restaurants in the Garden State or several other Northeastern states.

6-Story Classic Car Sales, Storage, And Servicing Center Approved In North Bergen

JerseyDigs.com – According to a public notice published last December from Hudson County Planning Board, a six-story building “for the purpose of sales, storage, and servicing of classic collectible cars” has been proposed for North Bergen. The concrete structure is slated to be built at the lots at 7711, 7801, and 7809 River Road, between 77th Street and Roc Harbour Drive in the township, near HackensackUMC Palisades and the Bergen County border. The North Bergen Planning Board held a special meeting and hearings regarding the proposal back in May of 2016.

Marcus & Millichap announce sale of $3.13M apartment complex in North Bergen

NJBiz.com – Marcus & Millichap announced Wednesday the $3.13 million sale of Riverview Lofts, an apartment property in North Bergen, according to Brian C. Hosey, regional manager of the firm’s New Jersey office.

David E. Thurston, first vice president of investments, and Charles Loccisano, associate, in the firm’s New Jersey office, secured and represented the seller of the 8-unit property, a limited liability company, as well as the buyer.

The complex is located at 8917 Old River Road.

North Bergen shopping center sells for $19 million

Commercial real estate firm Cushman & Wakefield recently announced it had orchestrated the $19 million sale of a shopping center in North Bergen.

The undisclosed buyer purchased the fully leased, 41,000 square-foot property at 2819 JFK Blvd. through a 1031 Exchange with a joint venture partnership.

“Limited grocery-anchored retail product has come online recently in New Jersey and throughout the Northeast market in general,” Brian Whitmer of East Rutherford-based Cushman & Wakefield’s Metropolitan Area Capital Markets Group, said. “It makes sense that properties with term and credit are being pursued aggressively by institutional and private investors. 2819 JFK Boulevard was no exception.”
